Summertime! What better time than to kick back with a cool drink of lemonade? Pure and sweet, sour and refreshing all at the same time -- it's a summer staple and something we're celebrating with this Lemonade Blog Hop.
Let me show you my project that I created for this hop:
This is a two page 12x12 scrapbook layout using 'the lemonade stand' pattern set, the 'photo mat fun' set as well as the dollar bill pattern from the 'chilly treats' set from Designs on Cloud 9.
Here is a close up of page 1.
Here is page 2. I used the Martha Stewart butterfly border punch on both pages.
I love how the green letters looks laid on top of the black. It really makes this title pop.
I used foam tape under the seeds of the lemon slices in both titles to give it a 3D effect.
How cute is this stand? I used vellum for the drinking glasses as well as the pitcher for a frosted look.
I just love her!!!
Look at this cool dude with his baseball hat on backwards. This puppy is so cute ~ looks a little bit like my long haired dachshund!
I wanted to show a close up picture of the photo mats. Did you notice the $ dollar sign $ paper to coordinate with the orange/lemon slice paper? I also did decorative machine stitching on the outer edges ofeach mat. I almost went with a dark green thread, and now I wish I had. Unfortunately, you can barely see the yellow thread. Next time I will know. Thank you so much for looking and please feel free to leave a comment. I love getting feedback.

These are ADORABLE bears on your layout ... in fact, I LOVE the whole 2-page spread! The bears have so much personality. My favorite part about the bears (other than EVERYTHING!) would be the long curled lashes on one of them. SO PRETTY!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pleasure hopping with you!

DeleteThis layout is just adorable Amanda! I must admit that I am not too much into the bears (I know lots of people are though and I do think they are cute, just not my style), but I love how you have used them in this layout! This reminds me of a scene from my neighborhood - the kids having a lemonade stand and the other kids pulling younger siblings in a wagon to go buy it :) My youngest is almost 15 now and so I get to watch the neighbor children now, but this layout made me smile as it reminded me of mine when they were young. I love the stitching - it would have been pretty in dark green but I love the subtle way it complements the photo mats - and I LOVE the photo mats! Those are one of my favorite elements! Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you so much. The first part of an addiction is to 'admit' that you have a problem...I admit that I have an addiction to those MS border punches. I unfortunately, have a habit of using the same ones over and over...I have to work on playing with others :)
DeleteThis is so adorable! You sure put a lot of work into it, and the results are just amazing! TFS!
