I wanted to share a quick project that I just made. It was super easy and I just love how elegant it looks. I used the 'in bloom' freebie that was featured in this weeks newsletter from Designs on Cloud 9. I made three different size blooms and just glued the biggest to smallest on a branch that was just on the ground in my yard. I thought it went perfect with this vase that one of my nieces gave me several years ago.
I originally made it for my mother but think it looks pretty great on my make-up table :)

Hello again. Welcome to my newest scrapbook layout. It features the 'which came first the chicken or the Easter egg' pattern set from Designs on Cloud 9.

This is the first 'job' using my new sewing machine. I obviously need more practice, but love it. It is amazing how much technology has improved over the years. I love how quick and easy this new machine is. Stay tuned for some great things to come.

What a cute bunny butt huh? I just love how this chocolate bunny came out ~ yum. I used Tulip Slick paint to achieve the chocolate wet look.
I just love how fuzzy these guys came out. Triple layers of mulberry paper gave them both the hairy look.
Stay tuned I have a few more Easter items coming up in the next week.

SADDNESS FROM THE a-prata-design STUDIO
Hello everyone. I have some sad news coming from a-prata-designs studio, my Singer advanced sewing machine has passed on. Some of my followers may have noticed my stitching absent from my work over the last few weeks and so this is why. I brought her to be looked at and was hoping for some good news. Unfortunately I was told it was over, they just couldn't save her. Although there could never be a replacement for her, but I am hoping for a different working machine in a few weeks or so.

FABULOUS FLOWER FRIDAY~LOLLIPOP MUM
Hello again. I absolutely LOVE this flower ~ it is by far my most favorite. It has a lot of pieces but when it comes together it is so beautiful.
I apologize for the poor quality photos. I did not realize they were so dark until now. The pictures do not do this flower justice!!!
Just like most of the other flowers that I have featured, this is a high 3D flower ~ not really suitable to be inside a scrapbook but great for a greeting card, package, alter art etc. The colors are limitless also. I just love it. Thank you so much to SVG Cuts for the pattern. I know when I started this series, I said that I would do it just til Spring but I love making flowers. So stay tuned for more to come.

FABULOUS FLOWER FRIDAY~Daffodil
We are so close to 'daffodil days'. I love this time of year when the American Cancer Society does their fundraiser with this great flower. The colors are always so bright and cheerful, especially after a long dreary winter. Here are what the pieces look like...
So sorry for the blurred pics. But this flower is really pretty and super easy to make.
Once again, this flower is very high when completed so it would be best used on an altered art project or a gift box/bag. Thanks again to SVG Cuts for the use of this pattern. It is definitely is one of my favorites! Happy Spring!!

FABULOUS FLOWER FRIDAY~Spider Mum
Welcome again to 'fabulous flower Fridays'. I thought I would feature the spider mum today. I love this flower. I love how many petals and leaves it has, and how they got in all different directions.
These are really big flowers and are just perfect for gift boxes or bags. Of course all fall colors would be perfect for this pattern.
A big thank you to SVG Cuts for the pattern. I hope to make a bunch of these in all different colors as we get closer to 'mum' season. Stay tuned :)
