Hello everyone. The weather here in Massachusetts got into the 90's one day this week, so I am in a summer beach mood.
Here is a cute card I made featuring the 'beach bum octopus' pattern from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I put foam tape behind his two front legs to give a little dimension. I really like how the machine stitching looks on this card. It really seems to make it pop.
I added a couple of plastic beach charms in the corner to dress it up a bit.
Thanks so much for looking. Let the summer begin :)
Hello everyone. I just want to share a cute card that I just made.
It features the 'monkey with clover' pattern set from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I chose a different machine stitching than I normal do. I like it. The letters are the same rub-ons as yesterday's project. I just love how simple this card is. Thanks so much for looking. Come back tomorrow to see another cute project. I have a bunch that I am trying to finish up before the end of the month. :)
Hello. I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. Please don't forget what this holiday is about. It isn't about a three day weekend, cookouts or the official start to the summer. Be thankful for your freedom and remember all those who have lost their lives to protect this great nation!!!
I instantly had to have this pattern when it was released by Little Scraps of Heaven Design.
Look at this guy. He is so adorable.
Here is a close up of the title. I actually used rub-ons for the first time. I was really happy with how they came out.
Here is the tombstone, helmet and dog tags.
Here is a close up of the photo mats.
Thank you so much for looking. I really enjoyed working on this layout. It gave me great pleasure to appreciate my freedom. Enjoy your weekend.
Hello everyone. One thing that I love to do other than play with paper is gardening. My Dad was a landscaper and died when I was 23. So when I cut the grass and plant things it makes me feel closer to him. So when Little Scraps Of Heaven Design came up with this pattern, I HAD to get it.
I just loved doing this layout.
Here is a close up of this cutie.
I love the trellis on the left hand side.
I love the shade of blue in these flowers.
I love the centers of these flowers.
This is a close up of the mat paper. It matches perfectly!!
Thanks so much for looking. Come back each day this week as I try to get caught up on so many projects that I have started. I think I need to spend less time in the garden and more time in the paper studio :)
A few weeks ago, I was asked to help cheer up a friend who had been injured in a roller derby match. Her name is Wounda Woman and skates for the Spartanburg Deadly Dolls. This is the card I made for her...
Isn't she great? I love the machine stitching around the background paper. Of course I love the roses too. As an added bonus, I included a special item...
I found this Wonder Woman Pez candy dispenser. haha, perfect huh?
Well, I just got a 'thank you' card from her. I am happy to say that she is growing stronger everyday. I also got some goodies..a Spartanburg Deadly Dolls bracelet and bumper sticker. :)
Happy Monday. I just want to share an adorable one page layout with you.
The pattern is titled 'a mother's love' from Little Scraps of Heaven Design. I played around with the scallop page. I tried to have heart shaped cut outs in each 'bump' of the scallop, but it did not cut so well. I will continue to practice. I did machine stitch each of the mats as well as the scallop page. Although, I should have used a darker color thread.
I just LOVE this Momma and two cubs.
This is a close up of the title.
Here is a close up of the flowers, as well as the stitching on the mats. Thanks so much for looking. I hope you all had a great Mother's Day.
I have been giving my Mom the same Mother's Day card for the last 20 something years so I made this altered gift bag for her gift. It features the 'crowned Mom' pattern from Little Scraps of Heaven Design. I hope everyone has a great day.
