Hi Folks. I wanted to share some 'thank you' cards I made last month.

SEQUIN NOTEBOOK

Hi folks, I wanted to share a cute 'altered' notebook I recently did for one of my nieces.
Here is a video of it as is...just the way I bought it.

One side is rainbow...
the other side is silver.
I then cut vinyl on my Silhouette Cameo and placed the negative side directly on top of the cover of the notebook. Making sure all the silver sequins were showing, I 'colored' them with a black Sharpie marker.
I love how personal it came out, I just wish the lines were cleaner. I know I am my worse critic. I bought the notebook from Walmart, but I know that they also have them at Five Below. Thanks so much for looking.

Here is another card that features a pattern from My Scrap Chick. This card was so easy to make and I just love how it came out. I added the roses on the top. Thanks so much for looking.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Hello everyone. Happy Valentine's Day to all that celebrate. I want to share some quick cards I made using the filigree hearts freebie that was issued by My Scrap Chick.
The first one, I added the 'flower pretties' freebie to dress it up a bit. A big thank you to my husband for the yummy chocolate covered strawberries :)
The second card has been paired up with 'the daisy garden' flower set. I just love these flowers. Another big thank you to my hubby for these amazing roses!!! I love you honey.

HAPPY ENGAGEMENT

Hello everyone. I am so behind in posts...
I am so happy to share that I have not one family member that has gotten engaged but TWO!!!
As part of the celebration for both couples I decided to do some cookies.
How adorable huh? I cut the diamond rings by hand. The roses were a cookie cutter. I clearly need more practice with my frosting.
I did the rings first and love how cute they came out.
By the time I got to the roses, my hand was killing me!!! I piped them fast and messy just to finish them up. They were still yummy regardless of how they looked :)
Congratulations to the happy couples.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. Since I am in line at a store about 200 deep on Black Friday, I thought I would share a cute foodie/craft from yesterday. I asked my mom what she wanted me to do for thanksgiving and she said ‘make cookies’. Ugh. So I took full advantage of the situation and made my first batch of sugar cookies with icing.

How adorable are these pumpkin pie cookies? I started out with a four inch circle to use as a template. Then I tried to cut eight uniformed ‘slices’.

I baked them and they came out in different sizes. I need to work on that.

Then I made up the icing which was the most difficult part. You need a firm batch for the cookie outline. Then you need a ‘not so’ firm icing batch to flood the space between the outlines. Then you need a batch of white (whipped cream), light brown (pie crust) and of course orange (for pumpkin filling).

They tasted like vanilla and not like pumpkin which I think the kids actually liked. And boy they were so good and soft. I can’t wait to try again with Christmas cookies. Stay tuned.
