RECYCLE/REUSE BLOG HOP

Hello everyone and welcome to the Recycle/Reuse Blog Hop. This hop is all about pulling out that garbage or the old stuff that has been sitting around forever and creating a wonderful project. We have Scrapbook Stamp society sponsoring us today. They are giving away 3 free digi stamps. I will also be giving away a set of flowers of my choosing from my Etsy store  that you can visit here www.etsy.com/shannleffew2/shop

Here is my project...
A friend of mine's 12 year old Boxer passed away last week. I felt so awful and wanted to do 'something' for her. I decided to make homemade cranberry/white chip cookies. Instead of putting them in an expensive container that she would have to wash or return, I went with a clean empty altered plastic container instead.  I used the 'scallop' pattern set from Designs on Cloud 9 to cut a large circle big enough to cover the company logo on the lid. I then made two pretty flowers using the 'fancy flower' set also from Designs on Cloud 9.
I glued those to the center of the lid, and filled it with yummy cookies.
Thank you so much for looking. Please stop by and say hi on each blog to be entered to win the contest. Here is the lineup in case you get lost along the way.

  6. What a wonderful thing you did for your friends loss. I love the idea of using the flowers too! She will be so thankful I'm sure. Last thing we want to do when grieving is figure out who gets what dish afterwords. Thanks for sharing this great idea on this super fun hop!

    1. I know right...whenever I do something nice like make cookies or cake the last thing I want the person to do is to hurry up, clean the container and return it. This way they don't feel obligated to return it. Thanks for the comments.

  7. Your friend is so lucky, I'll bet those cookies were delicious. Great way to use all those tubs. So many sizes to choose from. The flowers are beautiful, and I'm willing to bet your friend washed and saved.
