WE'RE BATTY FOR CANDY

As promised, here is another Halloween layout. I feel like lately I have been doing so many other projects (treat bags, wreaths, cards etc.) that I really wanted to get back and do a full 2 page layout. This features the 'we're batty for candy' as well as the 'boo-tiful borders' pattern sets from Designs on Cloud 9.
Page  1
 Page 2
How cool is he?
Here is the title. I added stickles to a few of the letters.
This is a picture of one of the rose fleurettes I made.
 Here is another cutie-patootie.
I am not usually a fan of lollipops, but this guy makes me want one. I added a bit of stickles to the bottom of the pop just to make is shine a bit. I also added foam tape to the middle to give it a 3D effect.
Here is a close up of the photo mat paper from Martha Stewart. I just love it. Each of the three mats has been machine sewn with decorative stitching.
Here is a picture to show the height of the rose fleurettes. I love how much charm they bring to this layout. Thanks so much for looking.

LIL DRACULA LAYOUT

Hello and welcome to my blog. I want to show you a cute little layout I created. Look at this little fuzzy Dracula. I used the 'lil dracula' and 'photo mat fun' pattern sets from Designs on Cloud 9.
I just love this bat paper from Martha Stewart. The pictures do not do it justice.
I love how gorgeous this flower came out. I love the shape, the color, and of course the rose in the middle.
There are two mats for photos or journaling. Each mat has been machine sewn with decorative stitching. Thanks so much for looking. Tune back in tomorrow where I will feature a two page layout using the same paper (because I love it so much) but featuring different pieces. See you then.

CUPCAKE WARS BLOG HOP

Welcome to Cupcake Wars! No bloodshed here, just plenty of sugar! If you didn't start at Janet's blog: http://janetscreativeworld.blogspot.com/ please do so! She's giving away a Cricut Lite Cartridge-Cupcake! How sweet is that?
We don't want you to miss any of the scrumptious projects and some have even left recipes for you to try! As we head into the holiday season, you might just have a new family favorite!
You should have come from: Wendy's blog http://createyourclassroom.com  I'm so glad you're here now, so check out my project and what I cooked up for you!

I decided to create a one page scrapbook layout. How cute is this with two mulberry lions and an assortment of yummy cupcakes? The base page was made from the 'scallop' set from Designs on Cloud 9.
This picture shows a large vanilla cupcake with colored sprinkles. I used Tulip 'slick' paint for frosting and glass beads for the sprinkles. The title 'I love cupcakes and I ain't lion'  was just printed on light blue cardstock and cut in a circle. I think used red stickles around the outer edge just to make it pop. How cute is this guy just hanging out? I just love his amazing eyes and big nose.
Here are some other cupcakes. The blue one has a chocolate start sticking in the top just like the one on the photo mat paper. I also created one cake with pink glitter swirls and another vanilla with red sparkle hearts.
I love this adorable peeking lion. The super cupcake is made with red Tulip 'slick' paint with tiny purple glass beads attached. The cupcake liner was made with my Martha Stewart score board.
The two photo mats were created from the 'photo fun mat' set also from Designs on Cloud 9.
Here is another shot of my main lion. I just love him. Thanks so much for stopping by. Now on to more yummy ideas...

From here you should head over to http://pixiperfectcreations.blogspot.com.
If you get lost, head back to Janet's, ( or I've listed it here for your convenience)
Have fun!

Halloween Treat Bags

I received a special request for two Halloween treat bags from a repeat customer. This is what I came up with...
I just love these guys...The bags themselves were created with the 'basic bag' pattern set from Designs on Cloud 9. The witch was this week past freebie 'flying witch' pattern. The character on the right is from the 'lil dracula' set.
Here is a shot of the bags other sides. How cute huh? I attached orange ribbon which has a cool black spooky edge that I purchased from Michaels.
Haha, this cutie's skin is so pale that you can barely see that he has two fangs showing. I used Tulip 'slick' paint to create them.
I just love how this guy came out. All pieces were cut, inked and chalked by me.
I wish I had taken pictures not in the sun...you can not really see how cute her little face is.
I just love these treat bags. The wonderful woman who requests them, just sent me a message to let me know that they arrived safely. She said they are for her grand-daughter's teachers. How awesome is that? I love when people do great things to appreciate our teachers (that are so under paid). Thank you so much!!!

FALL IN LOVE WITH AUTUMN BLOG HOP

Welcome to the 'Fall in Love with Autumn Blog Hop'. Featuring a wreath collection: Let me first start with how much I love fall. Leaves turning gorgeous shades of orange, red and brown. The sweet aroma's of hot cocoa and apple cider coming out of the kitchen. Anything to do with fall fashion, boots, sweaters, and pretty scarves. Oh I can go on and on. Well with that being said, I have a treat for all of you today. I have a group of talented ladies that can't wait to share some wreaths that they have made for this colorful season. We hope to inspire you all to 'fall in love with Autumn'. Enjoy!

There is blog candy that will be given away for this hop. The grand prize is a $20 gift card to either Michael's or Joann's. You choose. Here are the rules...You must become a follower of each blog, and leave a comment at each stop. Winner will be selected 9/17/12.

If you are coming from Tonya http://ittybittyladybugs.blogspot.com, you are in the right spot.

 Here is my project...
This is made from paper glued to a floral foam ring.
I bought this ring at Michael's (with a 50% off coupon of course). I then used 4 different styles of Halloween paper (2 sheets of each style for a total of 8 sheets).
Here is one sheet. I just love the bats and spiders all over this paper.
I love the color purple when it gets tied into Halloween decorations.
I cut each of the 8 sheets of paper into 1 inch strips. Then I wrapped each strip around a pencil to give the curly effect. Next I used a stapler to secure the strips.
Then I hot glued each of the strips of paper to the foam ring. (I thought I took a picture of this step but nope...sorry.)
I then used a few different patterns from Designs on Cloud 9 to embellish this wreath. This is a the 'banner' set and I used the title from the 'pumpkin boo' set to spell out 'boo'.
Then I cut out the 'cupcake Halloween toppers' file and attached them to different size rosettes.
And here it is hanging on my front door...
I just love how it came out. Thanks so much for looking. Now you are onto your next stop...Miriam ~ http://miriamscreations.blogspot.com

If by accident you missed the beginning, here is the whole lineup...

A DAY OF REMEMBERANCE

SEPTEMBER 11TH ~ Today is a day of rememberance. Today is a day that ALL Americans have a heavy mind as well as a heart of sadness. It was 11 years ago today that the worse attack on American soil took place. I am sure we all remember where we were when we heard the news. I live not far from Logan Airport in Boston where US flights 175 and 11 took off from. In my neck of the woods, someone knew or worked with someone who was directly effected by these events. In a cemetery just 5 miles from my house is a woman buried who was on flight 175. She was traveling to Hawaii with her boyfriend. I think of her so often throughout the year, especially during this past Olympics ~ they both traveled to the Sydney Olympics together. It is for her (and her family) that I made this floral pick. I want her as well as everyone who drives by her plot and sees it to know that I will never forget.
This is the front of the pick. The pattern is from My Scrap Chick. (Here is the link if anyone wants to download it for free.
Here is the back of the pick. I put her name at the top and then made a gorgeous paper corner punch flower just below ~ red, white and blue of course. RIP Lynn Goodchild.

SCHOOL DAYS

Hello again. I am back from a mini-vacation. My Mother and I went to Booth Bay Harbor in Maine. Ahhhh it truly is the way life should be. I had actually finished this layout just before I left but did not have time to share with you all. But here it is...
Even though I have been dying to dive right into the Halloween season, I decided to squeeze in a 'school' themed project. (Especially since the kids here in town went back to school late last week.)

                                                 Page 1
                                                Page 2
Look at this cutie peeking over a book.
This guy is by far my favorite of the layout. I just love how the globe came out!!!
This one is just hanging out of a back pack.
Here is a box of crayons. I probably should have went with a different color crayon than yellow.
Here is a picture of the chalk board photo mats. I made each one with actually chalk board paper. I used foam tape under the shelf to make it easier to add photos. It really makes it pop.
I wrote on one with chalk to show you how cool this paper is. It cleans up really well with a slightly damp paper towel. So cool!!
Here are some pictures that show a 'girl' version.
This picture shows off the apple border really well that I created. I just love how this layout came out with so many bright colors.
Now keeping with the 'school theme', I decided to create a cute 'back to school' card for my niece who goes back to college this week.
Here is the front of the card. Again I used the chalk board special paper and foam tape on the shelf.
Here is the inside of the card. I added red stickles to the letters just for some added bling. I think this came out so cute. I wish her and all the students returning to school a very successful year.
