HAPPY (LATE) BIRTHDAY TO MY UNCLE BOB AND BROOKE

Hello. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I have been so busy with life but still have time to scrap. I want to share two birthday cards that I just finished up today. (Although they are a month and three weeks late. Sorry guys.)
This first card is for my Uncle Bob. I went with the darker more 'manly' colors. This is how it will look when he takes it out of the envelope.
This is the card when opened and displayed. It is a step card that features a different Designs on Cloud 9 birthday themed piece on each 'step'.
This cake piece is from the 'pipsqueak' set. I dressed it up a bit by attaching a rose from the 'curly flowers' set.
This adorable guy is from the 'look who's' set.
This cupcake is from the 'what a hoot' set.
These two gifts are from the 'birthday girl' set.
I made the same card for my neice Brooke. I just changed the colors a bit to use my favorite pink and purple combo. I hope they both love them and sorry again they were late.

THE BABY'S NURSERY

Hello again. I am continuing to work on a custom order baby boy book. Here are my most recent pages featuring the nursery. This pattern set is from Designs on Cloud 9.
                                            How adorable right?
This is page one. I love the little changing table from this set. It matches perfectly with this picture of the new baby and new Mommy.
Here is page two.
Here is a close up shot of the changing table.
I just love how this crib came out. Did you notice the mobile hanging? It features one cloud, one moon and two stars.
Here is a close up of the night stand with matching lamp.
I just love the colors in this layout. I have two additional bedroom pieces that would not fit on these pages. I will work on some more pages using those in a day or so. Stay tuned.

SURF & TURF/COWABUNGA DUDE

Hello folks. Sorry I have been missing in action, I have had some medical issues that have really been bothering me (fractured foot, flu,  and I am now getting over a cold. ) But I am back with some great projects. This is a layout that was just featured in the Designs on Cloud 9 newsletter this week.
This is page one. I love this lil guy in his swim trunks and matching glasses.
Here is page two. How adorable is this cutie in her bikini? All four photo mats have been sewn with decorative stitching. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch on both pages.
Here is a close up of the palm tree and 'surf & turf' title. I added gold liquid bling for embellishment.
The surf board is made with yellow paper with raised dots. I wish it showed up better in the pics.
I also added gold liquid bling to this surf board. I also added foam tape under the knots of both bows on the bikinis.
I love how this sun came out. I used three different shades of yellow and separated each layer with foam tape to give it dimensions. I also added bling to this title. I just love how this came out. I love the colors and am so ready for summer. Thanks so much for looking.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOODLICIOUS!

Hello again. I want to share with you another birthday easel card that I just completed for one of my nieces.
This is the card front. I used the 'pipsqueak' pattern from Designs on Cloud 9.
Here is a shot of this cutie close up. I inked and chalked all the pieces as well as added foam tape under the bow to get more dimension.
This is the card fully open.
This is the title that was again inked and chalked. I also added liquid pearls on each letter to give it a little bing. Everything is better with bing. Happy birthday Noodle. I hope you have a great day and a fabulous vacation at the end of the week :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY GODMOTHER

Hello folks. I wanted to share a beautiful easel card that I made my Godmother for her birthday.
Here is the card front. I created it with the Martha Stewart paper punch and a great pattern from Designs on Cloud 9 titled 'look who's'.
Just look at this cutie. I love how she came out. I added foam tape to the top of her socks, the center of her bow as well as the candle. Each paper piece was inked for added dimension.
Here is a shot of the card fully open. I ran both the top as well as the bottom through my sewing machine for decorative stitching.
Here is a close up of the title. In addition to inking all the letters, I added liquid pearls to each one to brighten them up a bit. Thanks so much for looking. I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I know she will.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HADLEY

Hello again. I wanted to share a cute easel card that I made for a special little girl. She like so many others has an Elf that lives with her for the month of December. Even though he is now at the North Pole helping Santa, he wanted to take time to send her birthday wishes.
This is the cover. I created it by using several patterns from Designs on Cloud 9. The cake is from the 'pipsqueak' set. then the roses are made from the 'curly flower' set. Then of course I used the 'elf on the shelf' set too.
This is the inside of the card. This is a picture of Hadley reading her Harry the story of Madeline taken at Christmastime.
This is what the card looks like when opened.
Here is a copy of the letter that I included in the card. There was NO way I could have copied his penmanship (or Hadley's Mom's). Happy birthday again Hadley!!!
