FALL IN LOVE WITH AUTUMN BLOG HOP

Welcome to the 'Fall in Love with Autumn Blog Hop'. Featuring a wreath collection: Let me first start with how much I love fall. Leaves turning gorgeous shades of orange, red and brown. The sweet aroma's of hot cocoa and apple cider coming out of the kitchen. Anything to do with fall fashion, boots, sweaters, and pretty scarves. Oh I can go on and on. Well with that being said, I have a treat for all of you today. I have a group of talented ladies that can't wait to share some wreaths that they have made for this colorful season. We hope to inspire you all to 'fall in love with Autumn'. Enjoy!

There is blog candy that will be given away for this hop. The grand prize is a $20 gift card to either Michael's or Joann's. You choose. Here are the rules...You must become a follower of each blog, and leave a comment at each stop. Winner will be selected 9/17/12.

If you are coming from Tonya http://ittybittyladybugs.blogspot.com, you are in the right spot.

 Here is my project...
This is made from paper glued to a floral foam ring.
I bought this ring at Michael's (with a 50% off coupon of course). I then used 4 different styles of Halloween paper (2 sheets of each style for a total of 8 sheets).
Here is one sheet. I just love the bats and spiders all over this paper.
I love the color purple when it gets tied into Halloween decorations.
I cut each of the 8 sheets of paper into 1 inch strips. Then I wrapped each strip around a pencil to give the curly effect. Next I used a stapler to secure the strips.
Then I hot glued each of the strips of paper to the foam ring. (I thought I took a picture of this step but nope...sorry.)
I then used a few different patterns from Designs on Cloud 9 to embellish this wreath. This is a the 'banner' set and I used the title from the 'pumpkin boo' set to spell out 'boo'.
Then I cut out the 'cupcake Halloween toppers' file and attached them to different size rosettes.
And here it is hanging on my front door...
I just love how it came out. Thanks so much for looking. Now you are onto your next stop...Miriam ~ http://miriamscreations.blogspot.com

If by accident you missed the beginning, here is the whole lineup...

  6. Super cute and a great way to use paper. This would work with your scraps of paper as well and you could add the strips to the wreath with those craft straight pens too. Very versatile and just plain cute!

The wreath its self was actually easy, and looked pretty just itself. But the banner and rosettes really dressed it up.
