Hi and welcome to the Valentine's Décor and Gifts Blog Hop.

If you happened here by chance you're in luck! There will be 20 stops full of great ideas, so grab a beverage and head over to the hostess' blog. Staci's blog is at The sponsor for this hop is Designs on Cloud 9 at and she has offered us a $20 gift voucher for the GRAND prize. Head over to her Facebook page at and show her some love. One lucky person who comments on this hop will be the winner of this generous prize. (One person from each stop will be chosen at random and we will then hold a random draw with those 20 people and one lucky person will win the grand prize

Ok, here is my project...a Valentine's Kissing Ball.
The roses are all made of paper!! I made them using the 'curly flowers' pattern set from Designs on Cloud 9. I just made a bunch of these beautiful flowers and hot glued them to a styrofoam ball. I also glued so ribbon to hang the ball as well as the pretty hearts on the bottom.
The hearts are also from a pattern used from Designs on Cloud 9 titled 'heart doiles'. I did make one of the hearts pink, but it is hard to tell with the bright sunshine.

I just love how pretty it all looks together.
Thank you so much for visiting. If you are new, please follow me here on my blog or on my fb fan page. Please feel free to leave me a comment or two, I love to read them. Now continue on with the hop, you are almost done ~ only two to go.

  1. I LOVE this!!!!!! You need to show me how to make these roses!! I tried to do it on my own & it looked like, well, ya know! LOL!
I love all the colors you used too.... love love love it!!!
Thanks for joining me for my very first time hosting a hop.

  2. This is one beautiful ball of roses. It turned out great and looks real.

    1. Thank you so much marg0006! It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. I actually gave it to a friend of mine for Valentine's Day :)

  3. Your kissing ball is beautiful! I wonder how long it would take me to make one? I would probably have to start off with a smaller one! ~ LOL

    Great job!

  4. Hi Tricia, these are really fun to make. This is actually the third one I have done. The first two were actually done with smaller roses and took me twice as long. They are just beautiful though. Good luck.

  5. Your kissing ball is gorgeous!!

  6. Thank you so much Michele! I have done a total of three of these balls so far. They are super easy. A little time consuming, but still easy. Plus, it is a great way to use up all those little pieces of scrap paper that are laying around everywhere :)

  7. This is beautiful, I have the curly flower file but haven't played with it yet...thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Thank you so much for the compliment Nancie. I know that DC9 is getting ready to do a video using this file so stay tuned :)

  8. Beautiful! What a great project. I think I need the curly flower file.

    1. KDA, thanks for the compliment. I haven't played with the other two flowers that are on the file, but hope to this week. I just love 3D flowers. Check my site in a week or so, and see what I come up with :)
P.S. I love your profile pic, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to use Tilda/Magnolia stamps :)

  9. I have my very own roses hanging!!!!! I love it!

  10. This is just beautiful! I will definitely be making one of these very soon!

    1. Good luck Hannah. Let me know if I can help in any way :)
